Babies are magical and intelligent and also really really hard. I want you to feel as prepared as possible to witness and support them in their first year of life.

The Forth Trimester
The first forty days with your baby. We will cover how to care for yourself and baby by drawing upon ancient postpartum wisdom, practical advice, and evidence-based healing practices.

Comfort
We will cover the soothing circuit, five s’s of comfort, pacifiers, baby-wearing, clothing temperature and materials, and more!

Bonding
Babies are looking for connection from the moment they are born- we will cover how to bond with your child from the very first day.

Feeding
We cover the basics of body feeding, bottle feeding, formula feeding, and combination feeding as well as how and when to transition them to solid foods.

Diapering
You will be doing this a lot so why not get good at it? We will cover how to clean your baby’s diaper area, how to choose your diapers and wipes, what to expect with bowel movements, and how to care for the umbilical cord stump!

Bathing
Bath time is my favorite. We will cover when and how to bathe your baby, the basics of infant massage, and how to create a ritual out of it.

Sleeping
Infant sleep is hard but you can do it when you know what to expect. You will leave class with an understanding of how infant sleep works, how to promote healthy sleep, where to lay your child down to sleep, the basics of safe sleep, and how to develop a routine.

Health and Safety
Let’s be honest babies are kind of strange: it’s good to know what is normal and what is not. You will be prepared for common challenges, concerns, and warning signs of the newborn period. I will also take a deep dive into car seat safety, SIDs prevention and when to call your doctor or pediatrician!
Pricing
Six hours of newborn education with a licensed educator and full-spectrum doula - broken down into two classes.
One, four hour course is given before the arrival of your baby and the second, two-hour class is an in-home visit after you are home.
The second section can be used to dive further into the unique ways your family needs extra support.
In-person Classes
Group: $400 / couple
Private: $800 / couple
Individual Sessions
$45/ hour
Newborn education, doula support by the hour. This can look like whatever you need it to.
For some, it might look like a postpartum visit, a virtual or in-person deep dive into a specific topic, or a prenatal consultation to prepare you for the things you’re worried about!
